On April 9, 2025, Nicole Atlas, Esq. and Andrew Sheeley, Esq. obtained a unanimous defense verdict in a medical malpractice case on behalf of a nursing home client following a 2 1/2 week jury trial in Supreme Court, Nassau County, before The Honorable Justice Rhonda Fischer.  The plaintiff alleged the defendant’s staff and attending physician failed to detect signs and symptoms of heart failure leading to death.  The defense established through an impressive series of experts that the patient’s symptomatology and ultimate demise was caused by Giant Cell Arteritis and long standing atherosclerotic heart disease.
