Robert Kerrigan has years of experience litigating complex medical malpractice and nursing home/long-term care provider claims.

Bob developed his negotiation skills and written advocacy to represent individuals in trials, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations with overwhelmingly favorable results.

Before coming to Sheeley LLP, Bob was a partner in a successful Long Island plaintiff’s firm, where his caseload included dozens of cases involving multi-litigant medical malpractice, nursing home/rehabilitation facility, assisted living facilities and home health care agencies.  Bob has negotiated countless six-figure settlements against such entities, making him well-equipped to understand and address the strengths and weaknesses of each claim.

He thus brings an invaluable perspective to the defense of medical care facilities and long-term care providers.

Earlier in his career, Bob was a vice-president at Goldman Sachs & Co. as a broker/specialist on the New York Stock Exchange trading floor, which required constant negotiations and interactions with career professionals in high-pressure situations.

Bob lives with his wife of 30 years on Long Island and has two grown children. He is an avid golfer.  His pro bono legal work includes representing those wrongfully convicted.  Bob also works with a local food bank to distribute meals to those in need during the holidays.
