Lindsey Shepard advises and defends healthcare providers in high-stakes litigation, arbitration, and risk-management matters. Her practice focuses on the senior living and long-term care industry, where she represents skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare providers in Tennessee and throughout the country.
Lindsey brings a practical understanding of the operational, clinical, and regulatory pressures confronting long-term care providers, as well as the difficult, time-sensitive decisions involved in caring for medically complex residents. She works closely with clients to develop creative, business-minded strategies that protect their interests while addressing the realities of patient care, staffing, compliance, and evolving industry expectations.
Before joining Sheeley LLP, Lindsey was a partner at a national law firm, where she represented major senior-living operators in healthcare liability and general liability matters across multiple states. Her experience includes defending long-term care providers in litigation and arbitration, as well as counseling clients on risk-management strategies designed to mitigate exposure before disputes arise.
In addition to her healthcare practice, Lindsey has represented businesses ranging from small companies to Fortune 50 corporations, along with their employees, in a broad array of matters. Her experience includes consumer-protection claims, negligent-security actions, licensing-board and other administrative proceedings, and general liability litigation.
Lindsey is licensed in Tennessee and Colorado and is frequently engaged to handle long-term care matters nationwide.
